As you should already know, masks are needed almost everywhere outside of your house. The fashionista I am, I love accessorizing and have already gathered a collection of cute masks.

I have definitely gotten comfortable with masks and as they have become equally a necessity as wearing a bra and undies. It seems that everyone knows or has been selling masks. The fashion community has accepted the provisions of wearing a mask; I have seen photoshoots and matching sets that embrace the bylaws in a cute and trendy way.

Hot Girl Summer is Back!

 

Summer has been a bust this year due to the pandemic and school is starting soon.  when the pandemic and I am definitely heading to the beach and parties, to reclaim all the fun I have missed out on.

This summer was the last summer for me and my friends to be teens, young, and wrap up our high school Bucket List as next summer we would be doing college tours and making some last-minute funds before College.

Badass Chicks to Idolize

 

I have already done other posts on movies and shows about fashion, classics, and private school, how could I leave-out the badass female characters? As a badass chick myself, I must get my persona from somewhere. To be a boss or a badass babe you need to see it to become it. I take after my grandmother with her sass and entrepreneurism and in the media I look-up towards powerful female characters-I mean who wouldn’t want to be the thriving main character?!

I have made a great selection of female personas that can be your next idol that I think are fit. I have not seen a lot of recognition for the accomplished or feminine characters as they are thought of as narrow-minded or provocative. The media can and will influence female characters to be seen as a “bad” type of women, they're not any bad women, just bad words for them. As the media feeds out its perspective of what a woman should be, it's up to you to find your icon and become influential to others. So,   I’ve created a list to do just that.   

I know more characters can pass the badass babe vibe check, but I just named a few. The thing about these characters is that they should be cherished as they are iconic and memorable. I know that you have probably seen as many shows and movies as me, but I want you to think of these next questions: Were there any female characters that stood out to you? Were they presented from a good perspective that positively reflects females everywhere? Did any of the female characters have any relatability to yourself-whether personality, background, or ethnicity? I want to make sure that you are paying attention and giving your attention to good content.  and in our world today there is a lot to be seen but not everything is meant for you.

Watchlist for the Private School Princess

 

I have gone to private school since kindergarten and though I am not as wealthy as the other kids-It doesn't matter because I uphold the status of being a brilliant, respected, and beautiful and of course fashionable which is honestly all you need to obtain to flourish in high society.

Besides the fact that I am a social butterfly and dress-well, some things just can't be taught, but my watchlist is for those tips and lessons are shown on my watchlist, so take note of characters and scenes because they might just help you become or combat a person like that.

Luckily, I am just talking about the high society cycle of private school education and not the private life of high society because that is out of my domain. I would be lying to say that Private School doesn’t absorb your whole life because you are practically signing away your life to potentially become successful in any possible way; Whether it's through marriage, connections, or on your account, but a 100k+ salary is written into your future. As many amazing opportunities you get, you will also be met with challenges, like feuds, enemies, and other situations. 

Though adults just say we're kids we do take our social network to the extremes. At this point, I feel like there should be a movie or show written about me because I have plenty of stories to tell about my experiences in private school. 

 Here I will give you one shed of advice that I constantly remind myself of: “Don't be fooled by the pretty and new things because it's overcompensation for their crummy personalities or issues”. I have made the mistake of being misguided by the lifestyle’s illusions, but real eyes realize real lies, and whoever said that was on to something. Not everyone is like that of course, but you just need to find your place with a great group of friends.

My list of movies and shows should reveal insight, give you a new perspective, or toughen you up for the rigid lifestyle. My selection for you is my personal favorites or has relatable scenes into the lifestyle. And if you were wondering I take on the persona of Blair Waldorf and Fallon Carrington, besides that here are my recommendations for the Private school Princess:

I nailed this list of movies and shows recommendations, they are all insightful even if it's not a private school base, it still has the same premise for status and lifestyle. My all-time favorites are Get Even, Gossip Girl, and Scream Queens. I can not relate to my selection, I just like them for the clothes and drama. I have learned a lot from my watchlist that has helped me in my own life navigate situations. I hope you have fun watching and are inspired by some characters.

Shows I want to be Cast in

 

We have all had those shows where you get so involved into the story that it either comes apart of your life or that you have commentary for how you would have handled it. 

Shows mean a lot to my family as we race each other to the last episode, watch premieres together, and talk about it over meals; And that goes for movies, particularly action and thriller-like Marvel Avengers. We even go as far as to share our streaming services together, that's just what we do. 

I have always wished that I would cross paths on a show set because I acted for 10 years and I still think that I got a talent for acting. I will list the shows that I could picture myself or persona in.

Maybe if I play my cards right I can be a supporting character in the show, you never know. I bet there are shows that you wish or imagine yourself in-right?! Well, shoot your shot at acting, you never know.

Swoon for the Classics

 

When's the damn I am sharing my appreciation for classic films and TV for all the work that went into them. Personally, I think that the older storylines are better when compared to now; I might be a chronological snobbery when it comes to movies- so what! 

I am not romantic with those movies. I have my heart and my emotions all over the place. Also, this isn't a specific genre just movies and shows I really like and can recall from memory. I will share who's my favorite character and why because these are my personal faves. 

Wow… I really watch a lot of shows and movies based in the past. My references above are just the tip of the iceberg; I have also watched Downton Abbey, The Spanish Princess, Marie Antoinette, Pride and Prejudice, and more. From what I have seen practically makes me a history buff. What are your films and shows relatively based around? The past, the present, or the future?
